Probation

The Circuit Court of Cook County has two probation departments for adults, the Adult Probation Department and the Social Service Department, and one probation department for minors, the Juvenile Probation and Court Services Department.

• Adult Probation Department oversees primarily felony offenders over the age of 18
• Social Service Department oversees primarily misdemeanor offenders over the age of 18
• The Juvenile Probation and Court Services Department oversees the court-ordered services for delinquent minors under the age of 18
