2025 Legal Court Holidays
SUBJECT: 2025 Legal Holiday Schedule
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED:
(a) With the exception of the Pretrial Division (pretrial release and detention) and the Juvenile Justice Division, which convene every day of the year, the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois, shall adjourn, and the office of the circuit clerk shall be closed on the following legal holidays for the year 2025:

| July 4 | Independence Day | Friday |

| October 13 | Columbus Day (Observed) | Monday |
| November 11 | Veterans Day | Tuesday |
| November 27–28 | Thanksgiving | Thursday, Friday |
| December 25 | Christmas Day | Thursday |
(b) All matters returnable on said legal holidays shall be continued to the next business day of the court.
(c) All deadlines for filing motions and pleadings shall be extended to the court's next business day.
