This Juvenile Center houses both the Juvenile Justice Division and Child Protection Division of the court and is connected to the Juvenile Temporary Detention Center.

Parking and Directions

Parking:
Parking is currently available in the parking lot adjacent (east) to the courthouse for $2.00. You must pay for your parking with cash or credit card prior to leaving the parking garage at one of the pay boxes located in the front of the parking complex. Limited free street parking is available. Note that you will be responsible for any parking costs. If you park on the street, you will be responsible for any meter fees and any costs associated with parking violations, including fines and towing.

Public Transportation:
Located in downtown Chicago next to the major intersection of Roosevelt Road and Ogden Avenue, there are several public transportation stops nearby including: 

  • CTA Bus lines: 12, 49, 157, 50, 18
  • CTA 'L' Train stops: Pink Line (Polk) and Blue Line (Western)

    Additional Information

      Each court location provides Accessibility Services to ensure that everyone gets fair access to easily participate in court events. This includes Deaf and Hard of Hearing Access services as well as ADA accessibility accommodations.

      The Cook County Juvenile Center Children's Room is located in Room G-013S. This facility accepts children between the ages of 2 and 12. For more information, please call (312) 433-5248. 

      Note: Facilitation of sibling and family visits is allowed at this location. Supervision is conducted by a community social service agency. Infant children up to age 18 are accepted for sibling and family visits.

      The Circuit Court of Cook County provides Lactation Rooms for nursing parents who are visiting our courthouses. Room G-013S is designated as the Lactation Room at this location. 

      Note for Jurors: Nursing parents who are called for jury duty can request access to a private space, upon their arrival to the Jury Assembly Room, in any court location. The Office of Jury Administration staff will direct individuals to these spaces upon request.

      The Interpreter Services Office within the Cook County Juvenile Center is located on the Fifth Floor, in Room 5035W and can be contacted at (312) 433-6880. Foreign Language Interpreters are available upon request.
