Parking and Directions

Parking:
Parking is currently free in the parking structure located east of the courthouse. There is an elevator in the garage as well as handicapped designated parking spaces.

Public Transportation:
All Cook County Courthouses can be reached by public transportation. To create an itinerary over the phone, or for the most current routes and schedules for both city and suburb via – ADA ParatransitCTAMETRA or PACE Bus, call the RTA Travel Information Center at (312) 836-7000 or visit their website for information and use the trip planner.

    ADA Accommodations available at the Skokie Courthouse include:

    • American Sign Language Interpreter (ASL)
    • Certified Deaf Interpreter (CDI)
    • Assistive Listening Device (ALD)
      • Earphones for the hearing impaired for use in court are available in the Presiding Judge’s Office. The courtroom clerk will order them by request.
    • Communication Access Real-time Translation (CART) 
      • CART is an interpretive captioning service only, and does not maintain or provide transcripts of the proceedings.
    • Reserved parking spaces for persons with disabilities in the parking garage, as well as an elevator, located east of the courthouse.

    The Skokie Courthouse Children's Room is located in Room 155B. This facility accepts children between the ages of infant and 16. For more information, please call (847) 470-7536 or (847) 470-7489.

    The Circuit Court of Cook County provides Lactation Rooms for nursing parents who are visiting our courthouses. Room 200 is designated as the Lactation Room at this location. Note for Jurors: Nursing parents who are called for jury duty can request access to a private space, upon their arrival to the Jury Assembly Room, in any court location. The Office of Jury Administration staff will direct individuals to these spaces upon request.

    The Interpreter Services Office within the Skokie Courthouse is located in Room 158 and can be contacted at (847) 470-5130. Foreign Language Interpreters are available upon request.
