Chief Judge Evans announces transfers of 12 judges

Circuit Court of Cook County Chief Judge Timothy C. Evans has announced the transfers of 12 judges effective Monday, February 24, 2003.

"These changes in judicial assignments are taking place to strengthen resources in certain districts and divisions of the court," said Chief Judge Evans. "Additional changes concerning judicial assignments will be forthcoming."

The transferred judges and their new assignments are as follows:

  • Associate Judge Edward A. Antonietti, from a criminal branch court of the First Municipal District to the Sixth Municipal District
  • Circuit Judge Eileen Mary Brewer, from the Traffic Section of the First Municipal District to the Domestic Relations Division
  • Circuit Judge Mary Ellen Coghlan, from the Criminal Division to the Probate Division
  • Circuit Judge Denise Kathleen Filan, from the Domestic Violence Section of the First Municipal District to the Fifth Municipal District
  • Circuit Judge Robert E. Gordon, from the Civil Trial Section of the First Municipal District to the Law Division
  • Circuit Judge Daniel J. Kelley, from the Fourth Municipal District to the Law Division
  • Circuit Judge John P. Kirby, from a criminal branch court of the First Municipal District to the Criminal Division
  • Circuit Judge LeRoy K. Martin, Jr., from the Traffic Section of the First Municipal District to the Domestic Relations Division
  • Circuit Judge Barbara M Meyer, from the Traffic Section of the First Municipal District to the Domestic Relations Division
  • Associate Judge Hyman I. Riebman, from the Traffic Section of the First Municipal District to the Third Municipal District
  • Circuit Judge Jane Louise Stuart, from the Forcible Entry and Detainer Section of the First Municipal District to the Probate Division
  • Circuit Judge Edna M. Turkington, from the Forcible Entry and Detainer Section of the First Municipal District to the County Division
