Markham courthouse reopened today at 1 p.m., cases rescheduled

Circuit Court of Cook County Chief Judge Timothy C. Evans has announced all civil and criminal cases that were cancelled for today, August 27, 2007, due to the closing of the Sixth Municipal District Courthouse, 16501 South Kedzie Parkway, Markham, Illinois, have been rescheduled by order of court to new dates. The times and courtrooms for all continued appearances will remain the same as had been previously scheduled.

The cases of all defendants who are in the custody of the Sheriff that had been rescheduled to today, August 27, 2007, from Friday, August 24, 2007, due to the power outage are continued to tomorrow, Tuesday, August 28, 2007.

The cases of all defendants who are in the custody of the Sheriff that had been previously scheduled for Monday, August 27, 2007, are continued to Wednesday, August 29, 2007.

All felony cases of individuals out on bond that had been scheduled for today are continued to Friday, August 31, 2007.

All civil cases that were scheduled for today are continued to Friday, August 31, 2007.

All traffic and misdemeanor cases of individuals out on bond are continued to Monday, October 1, 2007.
