Press Release |
Circuit Court of Cook County Chief Judge Timothy C. Evans announced that, effective today, March 3, 2015, the bond calls in the Circuit Court of Cook County’s five suburban courthouses will be held as follows:
Misdemeanors | 10 a.m. |
Felonies | 1:30 p.m. |
The suburban courthouses are as follows:
- Second Municipal District, 5600 Old Orchard Road, Skokie, IL
- Third Municipal District, 2121 Euclid, Rolling Meadows, IL
- Fourth Municipal District, 1500 Maybrook Drive, Maywood, IL
- Fifth Municipal District, 10220 S. 76th Avenue, Bridgeview, IL
- Sixth Municipal District, 16501 S. Kedzie Parkway, Markham, IL
The new schedule continues administrative changes Chief Judge Evans made to the schedules in Central Bond Court in October 2014, when felonies were moved to 1:30 p.m. seven days a week. Misdemeanor cases, which are heard in Central Bond Court on weekends and holidays only, are set for 12 noon.
The change to later bond call schedules allows more time for preparation of pre-bond reports that assist judges in their bail-setting decisions. Pre-bond reports are objective assessments of the level of risk an alleged offender may present to public safety and whether the individual is likely to return to court for the next appearance. Compiled by the court’s pretrial services officers, the reports are based on interviews with alleged offenders shortly after their arrival in the Cook County Jail and information obtained from law enforcement data bases.
Attached is General Administrative Order 2015-01.
