Traffic Cases at the Daley Center are scheduled for Zoom videoconferences

Press Release |

Persons with a traffic case at the First Municipal District in the Daley Center are reminded that all Traffic Section cases will be scheduled for videoconference on Zoom. Please look for the time, date and room number on the citation so you will know the correct Zoom information, and do not come to court if you are not set for an in-person hearing. Zoom information for traffic court is available here.

You can access Zoom using a computer with internet access or a smartphone. Those without access to internet can call in to participate by telephone. Call +1 (312) 626-6799 and then type in the Zoom ID for your room number, with the # sign after the Zoom number.

To avoid an unnecessary trip to the courthouse, all litigants should consult with their legal counsel or the Clerk of the Circuit Court for information about whether to appear in-person, or for instructions for participating in virtual court proceedings. This document provides instructions on how litigants can get their court dates. The same document can be found on the website of the chief judge’s office.

Persons who need to make a payment can do this by phone through the clerk’s office.

Anyone who does need to come to court should expect longer wait times, due to coronavirus pandemic safety protocols.
